CRJ Cargo Liners
With the active co-operation and support of Bombardier Aerospace, Comtek has developed and certified a new replacement cargo liner for the Canadair Regional Jet, Series 100 & 200. Comtek's cargo liner has been designed to be much more durable in service than the equipment that it replaces.
Comtek's cargo liner is approved by the F.A.A. under Supplemental Type Certificate # ST01292NY, and by Transport Canada under S.T.C. # SA01-19. J.A.A. approval will follow. The first cargo liner is now installed in an Air Canada CRJ for evaluation purposes, and selected U.S. airlines will be evaluating the cargo liners shortly. The results of these evaluations will be available at the next CRJ Operators' Conference in Montreal, in May 2001. Upon successful completion of the evaluation, deliveries to CRJ operators will commence.
Comtek's cargo liner is made, in large part, from a high technology, very strong and durable fiber/metal laminate. This will significantly increase durability and reduce unscheduled removals from the aircraft. The Comtek cargo liner is easily repairable by the operator without removal from the aircraft. Comtek provides both a maintenance manual and illustrated parts catalog for all components.
In response to operator requests, Comtek is exploring replacement of additional part numbers. Parts may be installed individually, or as partial or complete shipsets.
At present, Comtek has developed replacement cargo liners for the majority of components installed in the CRJ-200 baggage compartment. See the following table for the current cross-reference list.
