Expert Repair Partner

Comtek operates with a customer-centric approach that utilizes highly qualified personnel and past successes to provide our customers with accurate information as quickly as possible. Our aim is to help customers make timely and informed decisions to manage their damaged aircraft parts.
 
Comtek never declares a part Beyond Economic Repair (BER) – we quote the price of repairing the damage and we leave it to our customer to decide if the part is BER.  

Our repairs are competitively priced, often less than half the cost of OEM replacement, when one is available. For difficult-to-source parts that are no longer supported by OEMs, Comtek provides comprehensive repair options, even for extensively damaged components.  
As a Design Approval Organization (DAO), Comtek has the authority to repair extensively damaged components well outside typical SRM limits. In some cases even parts that have been declared Beyond Economic Repair by other repair stations have been returned to service by Comtek’s technicians.

Qualified Expertise

Comtek is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) for the repair of primary and secondary aircraft structures. To the FAA, this is equivalent to Part 145 Repair Station status. For European operators, Comtek holds an EASA 145 Repair Station designation. 

Our delegation by Transport Canada as a Design Approval Organization (DAO) permits Comtek to generate approved data within our scope of delegation. This gives us the ability to minimize the time for airworthiness approval, and greatly reduces our turnaround times on repairs. This designation also enables us to repair extensively damaged components well outside typical SRM limits. In some cases even parts that have been declared Beyond Economic Repair by other repair stations have been returned to service by Comtek’s technicians.

Under our Transport Canada designation as a CAR561 Approved Manufacturer, we produce and certify our own proprietary products for our airline and MRO customers. These products carry a Transport Canada PDA approval, which is also recognized by EASA and the FAA.
