Quality Approvals

Product quality is of the utmost importance at Comtek. Tightly controlled systems ensure compliance and traceability through every step of our manufacturing process.

Comtek is registered to the internationally recognized AS9100 Rev D/ISO9001 quality standards.


Under our Transport Canada designation as a CAR561 Approved Manufacturer, we produce and certify our own proprietary products for our airline and MRO customers. These products carry a Transport Canada PDA approval, which is also recognized by EASA and the FAA.


Transport Canada recognizes Comtek as an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) for the repair of aircraft structures, including primary structures. To the FAA, this is equivalent to Part 145 Repair Station status. For our European repair customers, Comtek holds an EASA 145 Repair Station designation. For customers in Japan, Comtek has JCAB Supplement Approval. Our delegation by Transport Canada as a Design Approval Organization (DAO) permits Comtek to generate approved data within our scope of delegation. This gives us the ability to minimize the time for an airworthiness approval, and greatly reduces our turnaround times on repairs.
