Comtek has full scope solutions for leading edge repair. Primarily focused on composite leading edges for Dash 8 aircraft, Comtek also repairs leading edges for ATR, Saab, and Dornier aircraft along with metallic leading edges of regional jets.

Expertise in Returning Heavily Damaged Parts to Service

Comtek has unique and proprietary capabilities to repair extensively damaged parts. As a Design Approval Organization, we can repair and certify parts damaged beyond typical SRM limits, including those that other facilities may deem Beyond Economic Repair. We literally wrote the procedure on major damage repair – In the 90’s, Comtek developed repair schemes in collaboration with Bombardier (De Havilland) for major repair to leading edges on Dash 8 aircraft. Since that time, these repairs have saved our customers thousands over the cost of full replacement. To date, Comtek remains the only facility listed on De Havilland RD’s that is approved for major damage repair to Dash 8 leading edges.

With our experience, our streamlined facilities, and proven processes, we can repair BER parts faster than replacing with new, at a fraction of the cost and with similar warranty.

As OEM production parts become more difficult to source, we are helping to fill the gap with our range of repair services. For Dash 8-400 specifically, we also offer PMA/PDA leading edges.
